The recent Snapchat update introduced an option to share YouTube videos without the need to copy and paste links. Now, both Android and iOS users can send videos from the YouTube app to Snapchat and add them right to their individual Snaps and Stories via the Snapchat Camera. The new experience is called to increase the visibility of YouTube creators on the yellow social media network.

Simple!

The new feature lets users watch YouTube videos by tapping a new dedicated video sticker. The app will automatically redirect users to the YouTube app. If it’s not installed, Snapchat will launch videos in the default browser.

Here’s a quick instruction on how to use the new sharing feature:

  1. Launch the YouTube app and tap a video that you want to share;

  2. Tap the share icon and select Snapchat from the list of available apps. YouTube will automatically redirect you to the Snapchat Camera;

  3. The selected video will immediately appear as a stylized interactive YouTube sticker;

  4. You can save the new Snap right away or add filters, captions, and other effects first;

  5. Tap the Camera button to finish and save the new Snap or send it to a friend if you want.

As you can see, the update lets you share your favorite videos a lot faster. The old version allowed you to add video links only to Snaps that were captured beforehand.

More Versatile

It seems that the new option will make it easier for creators to share their new videos and YouTube Shorts. It’s a powerful update for creators who want to expand their audience via Snapchat without wasting time. Did you hate the good old copy-and-paste process? Is the new option significantly better? What do you think as a user and as a YouTube creator? You are welcome to reply in the comments below. Sharing this post with your friends on Snapchat and YouTube is also a great idea!
