Twitter recently released its fourth-quarter 2021 earnings report. According to the document, the social network profit grew by 22%, and the number of users increased by 6 million people. That is, about 217 million people visit Twitter daily. Notably, US citizens accounted for only one-sixth of new users; the rest came from other countries. However, for Twitter, this rise in popularity in the US is a positive sign. According to previous data, the number of US users, about 36 million, has remained virtually the same since 2020.

As noted above, the company's revenue also increased and amounted to $1.57 billion. At the same time, the vast majority of this sum, about $1.41 billion, was made by advertising revenue. It also points to the growing attractiveness of the social network as a marketing platform. In many ways, it was facilitated by adding new marketing and ad tools to the social network. Thus, advertisers got the opportunity to measure the dynamics of site openings using visit optimization, an event manager, and aggregated measurements.

However, Twitter is not going to stop there. The company began testing ad app installs in the fourth quarter, with early results showing a 20% increase in app installs. Also, this social network did not forget about professional users, influencers, and creators who have a lot of followers. The company has developed several tools for such large accounts, including Twitter Blue. It provides access to exclusive features that allow you to customize the social network to your needs.

Twitter's immediate goal is to reach 100 million members by 2023. In our opinion, it is quite a possible figure, given the growth rate. Do you think the company will be able to conquer this milestone? Do you use this social network for business or private purposes?
