Telegram has received the second update in this year’s spring! The most recent version of the messanger includes brand new optional notification sounds, custom auto-deleting and muting durations for chats, and revamped forwarding optiion that saves replies. Read on for more details. 

The More, The Better

Telegram has always been ahead when it comes to app customization features. The latest version lets you create custom notification sounds by cutting out pieces of your favorite songs, voice messages, and even popular memes. It means that you can select any autio file or audio message in any chat and turn it into a new notification sound. The current version supports sounds that last up to 5 seconds and take not more than 300KB. You can find all your saved sounds in “Settings” > “Notifications and Sounds.”

The next remarkable feature let’s you set custom chat mute duration. Now you can not only choose between the standard limits, but set any mute duration. You can adjust notifications for every chat separately and disable them for selected chats forever. To do it, you have to select “Notifications” on the chat info page on iOS or in the chat header on Android. 

The new Auto-Delete Menu feature now lets you set an auto-delete timer for profiles and forwarded messages, which is a good way to boost your account privacy. You need to enter chat menu and set the auto-delete timer to activate the feature.

• Improves message translation for iOS. Now the translator knows Ukrainian.

• New rounded player design on Android. You can pinch it to change size.
