The NFT project failed to take $1.2 million from backers. Players who wanted to earn money for the game are left disappointed. This is not the first NFT that went dark, losing the fortune after making promises to the backers.

According to the official statistics, Blockverse was completely sold in 8 minutes. The company behind it received $1.2 million in total. Yet, the next day the website was dead and no activity was found around the Internet. Even the Discord server was down. The NFTs of Blockverse are still on the list of OpenSea auctions, but the game totally disappeared.

This is not the first NFT that turned out to be a scam. It happens more frequently than players can imagine. There is still an active Twitter account, but the last update was made on January 24. You may see two last posts made about the Discord server, which is not alive anymore. The very last one celebrates the enormous success that the project has in the first several minutes of its launch. You can still buy NFTs of Minecraft, which Blockverse sells at OpenSea. OpenSea did not respond to the question about the silence of NFTs creators.

Users are not happy with the situation around the company and its disappearance. Many of them began their own investigation. NFT Ethics made a comment on Twitter blaming the creators who gathered a million and disappeared without a word. The user believed that the project was not even ready and real. Participants of this fraud did not know whether it is possible to connect to the officials and find out how this NFT project was even approved. Yet, this is not the first time the NFT community was robbed. It is hard to find the connection to the real company after the scheme is revealed.
